Let me guess: arguments over colony rights, versus the homeworld's rules? At least, that's always what my people used to fight over before we ran into other species.

Unfortunately, it was less of one bitter bastard and more of a whole race of them. The smart ones wanted to work with us, but some of them just couldn't get over the whole genophage thing...
