[He shrugs, grinning.]
Why not? I like cooking.
[And he's good at it, in his not-so-humble opinion.]
Plus, pretty sure it gives me a pass to ask at least a couple nosy questions.
[as if you weren't gonna ask them anyway, kagari]

[ Duo stops his looking round at passersby as Garrus... pretty much casually describes biological warfare on a scale he can't quite comprehend.
Sure, he'd done some pretty questionable shit in his life and in the war but.. he can't say he attempted to 'control' or wipe out a race of aliens because they bred like rabbits and were annoyingly persistent. No, he hadn't managed to murder a little girl and her dog like Heero had, but he was sure there had been collateral damage he just hadn't stuck around to see in the end of the mission. For his own sake and everyone else's on the mission Duo often chose not to stay around after he'd detonated a bomb or blown up a base. As sociopathic as he tended to be, seeing people cry over their lost loved ones was still not an easy state of affairs for him.
Even a literal terrorist had never released disease upon the world, which had been partially why he'd been so unimpressed with the terrorists in Olympia the month before - ]
Dude. Do you blame them? I'd want to murder your asses too. [ In fact.. he'd done a lot of murder because a certain group had killed people he considered family, so... now he's very curious. ]
Did you help distribute the genophage?
[Mipha smiles at the compliment] It does well to have someone on either side like that. Although I hope we don't run into many ore troubles, I'll be happy to fight by your side.
[Hit 'em from the top and the bottom!
She regards the serpent with a grim resignation--she doesn't really like that she had to kill it, but now that she had she should get some use out of it.] Let's take it back. If they already know of them, perhaps it could still be useful to them-- Like its teeth or something like that.
I don't believe the extra weight will be too much of a hindrance to the boat. [Though it'll certainly take up some space, but they should be fine.]

Gamora.
[ She’s great at this polite-exchanging-of-names thing.
(She is not.)
She nods in a sort of… overall gesture, indicating his form. ]
You mentioned your planet. Palaven?
[ They don’t have (as far as she’s aware) any of what Garrus is in her universe. ]

[Rocket snatches the crab off his tail, which tries to cling, but after a brief struggle, he manages to liberate it with only a few tails lost in the process.]
Maybe we can get back to shore without further incident. You think?

Never heard of the Milky Way.
[ but hey, at least he sounds like his species is capable of space flight, which puts him closer to what dutch is familiar with than many here. ]
But then, I'm guessing you've never heard of the J, much less the Quad, so we're even.

Sure did!
[ And the reply is cheerful, as Peter drops down into the skull, and—
Oh.
... Huh.
Peter takes a few seconds to take in his surroundings – the bones littering the ground, the pit in the center of the chamber, the old, cracked paintings covering the walls – and he hisses in a breath through his teeth. ]
... I like what they've done with the place.

[ She'd like to know, but unfortunately the travel so far has made her surprisingly exhausted and if she can avoid a fight she'd like to. Though she was also looking for money considering the misadventures that happened in the past few months. ]
We can wait, sure. [ And she ensures that her gun isn't locked, pointing it away from the two of them. ] Dead or alive, I'm sure we can rack up some silver with what we can grab. [ And she looks to her side, checking for what ammunition she has left and bombs included. ]
So I'll try not to blow it up.

I would like to hear more, if possible. Space exploration came to a halt where I'm from.
[Stupid Crusades lasting for 100 years.]

In terms of manned missions, we got to the moon. We sent out several satellites that have reached the ends of our planetary system, but once the war began, it was pushed aside.
[It kind of made him sad because he would have loved to learn more about space and pushing humanity's boundaries.]

Hmm... I guess that depends on what you call dance music!
'Cuz we dance to our songs? I mean, our performances are all like-- they're all a song-and-dance thing, choreographed and everything. But I don't know if they're... "dance music"?
[No wub wub wub bass here, sir.]
