Well... I don't know if I'd say it was the complete opposite. those guys had gone into stasis to try and save their civilization from sentient spaceships bent on destroying all advanced life, only for their systems to fail. Here, it was someone else who saved all of us from a very non-sentient storm.

It looks like we've got a few options. You could try and take a shot right now, before it surfaces, wait until it attacks us and then take the shot, or I could use my... paddling [ ? ] skills and try to row us out of here, and risk accidentally hitting it.
Either way, something tells me we're still going to end up with a hungry and pissed off... whatever that is. So it's your call.
