[ look, he's not going to punch a fish in the face, Mipha. he's not a krogan, ok? ]
Right back at--
[ but before he has a chance to finish, there comes a sea serpent, about to lunge at him, mouth wide open. well... this was definitely one way to be welcomed. thankfully, he's managed to grab the big stick, and is proceeding to shove it right into the thing's mouth, trapping its jaw open. ]
Take that!
[ the creature lets out a screech of rage, before diving back underneath the water. ]
Watch out!
[ hopefully she can hear him. but hey, at least that thing isn't able to bite down anymore. that's something, right? ]
[She hears him well enough, twisting about to meet the serpent as it dives into the water again.
With its an source of attacking rendered moot thanks to Garrus, it makes the rest of the job easy. It's a bit of a chase, the water beneath the boat making it sway ominously. Her trident pierces through it and she watches with a tinge of regret as it thrashes about and bleeds out.
She surfaces moments later and hauls the trident--serpent an all--back onto the boat before climbing up herself.]
You are uninjured? I have no doubt there may be ore of these things around, so we should make haste.
[Mipha smiles at the compliment] It does well to have someone on either side like that. Although I hope we don't run into many ore troubles, I'll be happy to fight by your side. [Hit 'em from the top and the bottom!
She regards the serpent with a grim resignation--she doesn't really like that she had to kill it, but now that she had she should get some use out of it.] Let's take it back. If they already know of them, perhaps it could still be useful to them-- Like its teeth or something like that.
I don't believe the extra weight will be too much of a hindrance to the boat. [Though it'll certainly take up some space, but they should be fine.]
So would I. It's still a shame that I didn't have my sniper rifle here. Otherwise, you'd really be able to see what I can do.
[ and as for retrieving things, he's way ahead of you, Mipha. already, he's using the lance-thing that he'd been fighting with to try and reach out to one of the creatures. was it dangerous when he couldn't swim at all? probably.

I'm fine. You and I made a good team.
[ and he really has to thank her for... making sure he wasn't struck down by a bad case of death. ]
Do you want to... try and take any of it back to the mainland? Or should we just cut our losses and go?
[ it might be worth showing to the locals. let them know that giant creatures were terrorizing the depths. as you do. ]
