I don't know if I'd say it was the complete opposite. those guys had gone into stasis to try and save their civilization from sentient spaceships bent on destroying all advanced life, only for their systems to fail. Here, it was someone else who saved all of us from a very non-sentient storm.

Actually, I guess the whole thing really was basically the opposite of this.
