Not obviously human, I guess? I dunno. Back home we had these giant horrifying monsters that a bunch of aliens apparently left behind? But they're all dead or gone or waiting inside the Vaults inside the monsters waiting to murder you horribly when you open them!
Well, that sounds like fun. [ not really. but hey, what can you do. ] Luckily for us, our ancient aliens mostly just left behind ruins that helped lead some of us to the stars. And a few plans if the sentient spaceships that show up regularly every fifty thousand years to wipe out all spacefaring life decide to come back. That actually really came in handy.
...That sounds convenient and terrible. The ships and stuff trying to destroy everyone, I mean. Glad your ruins aren't filled with murder monsters like ours were.

For fancy space tech that isn't trying to kill me? 'Course I do.

Well, I guess I should've said most of the time. See, those sentient spaceships also left a few bits of tech that eventually turns anyone exposed to it for a long enough time loses their mind and turns into this creepy mishmash of organic and inorganic material.
...but those were pretty rare.
[ ha... ha... ha...
but wait back to the other topic. normal space tech. that doesn't kill you or turn you into a husk. ]
Just name a time and place, and I'll meet you there. And if you have any interesting tech, bring it along too. Maybe we can swap a few stories.
Wait really? Yikes. We had Fast-Travel to get anywhere you needed. As long you had clearance for it I mean. You needed the code of the location you wanted to get to or it wouldn't work.
[ They just needed to digitize you, deconstruct your entire body, and then reconstruct it at your destination. nbd. ]
Well, I guess we had something similar, only it was more on an intergalactic scale, letting you go from one end of the galaxy to the other in a few minutes. As for more local? It was mostly just old fashioned shuttles.
[ yeah... that sounds like a philosophical nightmare waiting to happen. no offence, Rhys. ]
What, wait--intergalactic? Oh man--serious? That's. Cool, whoa. That would make things way faster. Fast Travel only works over short distances between planets and stuff. I think? I don't actually use it. Or haven't used it. I never actually had the codes or privileges when I worked for the people that did.
[ And then, you know, he crashed it all into a planet. so. ]
Yeah, it really helped us out a lot. [ a pause. ] Of course, then we discovered that it was all set up by a group of advanced aliens that were bent on wiping out all advanced species in the galaxy for reasons only known to them, but... nothing's perfect.
:'D
[ ...Just saying. That kind of thing happens. ]
What sort of specs does your model have?

[ still, he feels you Rhys. ]
That depends. Do you have a few hours to spare?
[ he could talk for hours about this. HOURS. ]

[ #fuck aliens
Rhys agrees, talking about normal space tech sound awesome and they should stick with that. ]
Please. I am the interesting tech.
[ Ego? What ego, Rhys has no idea what you're talking about and he definitely didn't give Garrus some fingerguns while he said it. ]
How about North District? Market plaza, I'll be the good-looking guy with the cool arm.

[ excuse you, Rhys #notallaliens ]
I'm not sure I have access there. How about one of the lounge areas up on the station?
[ and he's not going to comment on human attractiveness. because then things would just get embarrassing. ]

Oh...okay yeah sure. I'll pop on up. Forgot you guys have to spend a few days up there recuperating or whatever.
