[ Peter starts typing out a response, but then he really gives Garrus' text a second read through.
Then, ]
... on second thought, that sounds pretty fun, actually.
Like a roller coaster you can drive yourself

[ She gives him a look, a confirmation (because, yes, she does mean "abducted"). ]
He thrived with them.
[ But he would have been happier with his family, she's sure. He's told her so many stories of his life on Earth, bits and pieces here and there, and she's loved it all, but... it makes her sad, too, knowing what had been stolen from him. ]
But he lost a good deal.

[ Well, and then Garrus has to go and say that.
Gamora doesn't speak at first, turning back to the refrigerator to pull out a bottle of water for herself. ]
No. It's not.
[ And that's what she's been for so long. She had nothing, no one left, but, at least Peter— ]
His home was still intact, but he never decided to return.

[ Gamora closes the fridge, leaning back against it as she opens her water.
She appreciates the fact that he doesn't pry (considering she doesn't even know his name, and Gamora is far from the sharing type), though she doesn't say a thing about it. The fate of her people is no secret back home, but... this isn't her home. People don't know her here – or hopefully fewer do – because she's yet to be pinned as the infamous assassin and daughter of a madman, and she'd like to keep it that way.
She doesn't deny her past, doesn't try to smother it, but she doesn't see why she needs to spread it around, either. ]
And the Reapers are...?
[ Not something she's familiar with, obviously. ]

... I dunno. I feel like it'd still be worth it for the Dukes of Hazzard-style freeze frame as you're ramping off a mountain with Waylon Jennings saying something like "They do things a little differently around here."
[ Yes, Peter is fully aware this reference is going to go over garrus' head.
At no point does that understanding stop him from typing it out, though. ]

[ The device probably betrays the fact that Peter is typing for a while – a few false starts that go something like, “No, that’s...” or “Actually, uh...” or “I think we have some wires crossed...”
But eventually he settles on, ]
That’s probably exactly what she was trying to do, yeah.
[ Apparently Peter’s decided on “lean into it.” ]
Maybe it was team building? Unite everyone in a shared appreciation for crazy stunts.

Wait really? Yikes. We had Fast-Travel to get anywhere you needed. As long you had clearance for it I mean. You needed the code of the location you wanted to get to or it wouldn't work.
[ They just needed to digitize you, deconstruct your entire body, and then reconstruct it at your destination. nbd. ]
